After months of speculation, it appears Apple is finally going to deliver new MacBook Pro systems to customers. The above screenshow shows part numbers that Microcenter has received for new Mac systems. We've since received independent confirmation that those part numbers are legitimate, and that we should expect new 15" and 17" MacBook Pros very soon.

While previous rumors have pinpointed April 13th as the likely day, other reports we've received are less certain of that exact date. Regardless, we feel reasonably confident that the new MacBook Pros will come very soon.

Lets hope the price bump on the "cheapest" one is worth it. If it is the low-end 15" and it gets a proper discrete GPU than I'd be OK with it.

This really screws me up as a first time Mac buyer.
I planned on getting the MBP 13" in June. Possibly the 15". But not now since it's more expensive.

Bad move, Apple.

I hope the 13 inch MBP gets an update. Maybe it will gety a core 2 duo, and go back to being a Macbook unibody aluminum

I'm going to rage so hard if it keeps the Core 2 Duo!

It's no excuse to keep those for the 13's. If they stick with those I won't be buying one...

Yeah, since their releases are based around your plans.

A handful of these comments are ridiculous. Some of you people need to realize that this is 1) a rumor website and 2) it's your fault if you built your hopes off of a rumor.

I personally believe the 13" will be updated, but we'll see.

I'm very excited for this update. Bring on the 17.

The sooner these stupid things come out, the sooner "I'm Waiting for Arrandale part XX" stops spamming forum spy. Good riddance.

You know, you KNOW that once these macbooks come out, there will be a wave of bitching about how ...

"I'm not going to pay £1500 for a processor that's 3 months old, Intel will bring out arrandales replacement in X weeks and im going to wait for the following Tuesday for Apple to implement them into their newly released macbook lineup, or so help me, i'm going to write a furious email to sjobs@apple.com"

Don't worry yourself, you can always buy a refurb from the Apple Store. Besides, with all this waiting you should have plenty of money saved.

There better be Core i5/i3 Dual Core Processors.. I mean Core 2 Duo is ages old =/, was introduced in 2006.. Its a bout time Apple upgraded to the new processors..

True. But if the new 15" prices are real, I can't fathom paying that much, especially when I could get by on a regular MacBook.

I'm replacing my beautiful and reliable mac white in may, so bring the new toys to scene... If the cheaper 15" is 1799, then it's still on my budget, but I'm hoping to see powerfull stuff inside of it, really... :D

I would guess the 13's will be updated at least before the last week of May, BTS 2009 started then. No way Apple could even compete without an i3 in a $999-$1399 laptop. Core 2 Duo is dead.

Look for BTS to start 5/26???? Free iPod touch (due for rev maybe with camera), $200 off an iPad?
