Problem with Calibre to convet to iBook

I have a PDF that I converted to epub in calibre so I could import it into iBooks. It worked but the color images all came out looking like photo negatives. I messed around with the settings in Calibre but cannot fix this. Anyone tell me what to do?

Unfortunately PDF's are the least desirable for conversion. The FAQ's address the picture issue. It's a known problem with PDF conversion.🙁

Pay $0.99 and user goodreader for pdfs. Its a great pdf reader based on my limited use

calibre is only decent for converting 100%text PDFs, even then the results leave something to be desired.

I'm going to end up using in with Good Reader. I was just hoping I could get it on iBooks.
