Simple question - how do these perform? Are they a big step up from the 9600?

weird.. it seems faster for some things and slower for others. :/

does anyone know how well starcraft 2 will run on a geforce gt 330m?
i'm curious whether highest details would be possible with a lot of units on the screen..

Yes the GT 330M will handle SC2 on High just fine. (i know this from beta testing) Diablo 3 however,.... doubtful.

The release version of the game is not out yet and nobody has a new MBP yet so any answers you may get to your question (as of today at least) will be pure speculation. I'm sure there will be plenty beta test feedback once new MBP are in house and hand.

It may have been done with different computer. If the other one had 2GHz C2D and another one had 2.5GHz i5, sure there'll be difference. Also depends on the game and how it's coded

Just pointing out that the benchmarks in this thread are for the 330m with 1GB dedicated video ram not 256 or 512

The 330m in the MBP will have lower performance.

For gamers; some games refuse to run w/ out a certain minimum of dedicated video ram.

thats what im afraid... and Diablo 3 too..

330M 512mb mehhhh.. seems to light for those games...

This card doesn't seem to be a slouch.

I was just running Left 4 Dead 2 maxed out with 2x anti aliasing and holding around 60 fps.

I'd say Diablo shouldn't be an issue at at least 30fps when it comes out.
