While not 15", the 17" has nice hinges. I was annoyed at my late 2008 15" MacBook Pro doing this. Happy now. I'm guessing if the 17" is good then the 15" is good too.
 
What size you've got?
All 15.4" Unibody MBP I've ever seen has this problem, only 13.3" and 17" MBP (and Alu MB) that haven't got the problem.

I know 5 people with 2008/2009 15" Uni-MBP's and all of the hinges are fine...
 
I had the hinge issue on my 2.8ghz 15" core 2 duo mbp (previous gen) but this new 17" i7 has a very tight hinge where in 90 degrees it doesnt not fall!
