Hi,

I'm trying to access my files on my Windows 7 PC from my uMBP with OSX 10.6.3. What I'd like to do is to be able to access all my hard drives on my PC from the Finder in my Mac. What's the easiest way to do this? I have all my music and school documents on my PC and would like to access them from my Mac. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No problem.

Make sure file sharing is turned on the PC and that you share a folder or drive. Also, make sure that both the Mac and PC are on the same subnet (ex, 192.168.0.x).

Now on the Mac, open Finder, Go menu, Connect to Server, then enter smb://pc-ip-address (ex. smb://192.168.0.4)

You should be prompted for the username and password of the PC, and then the PC shared drive/folder will be mounted on your desktop if successful.
