Need some ram advice

I have an early 2008 macbook and i've looked on newegg and the cheapest they have 4GB of ram is for $98


if some one can tell me where I could get a better deal that would be great if not would there be much of a difference in running AE w/ 3GB of ram compared to 4GB?

That is a great price. I think about the thousands of dollars I spent on ram in the past and it makes $98 sound more like 98 cents.
 
You need to check your Activity Monitor pagein/pageout ratio. If its less than 10, you could benefit from more ram. But be sure to test after you have been using your intended programs as you normally would for a day or so without rebooting.
