I currently have a 15" powerbook with a 1.25 G4. I need to run AutoCAD (windoze only) so which version of VPC should I use. I can afford to wait a little for the VPC 7.0 to come out with WIN2000, I just want whatever will work best. I will only be using VPC for AutoCAD, so whats the best thing for me to use. Will VPC 7 be faster than 6 even on a G4? The more help the better, thanks

Hi,

In the past I tried AutoCAD on my iMac G3/400/192 and that was terrible. I used VPC 5.0 with ACAD 14 ( 🙁 ) and 2000 ( 😡 ). Slow... unstable... No good.
Now I got an eMac G4/1GHz/256 and I tried the same versions on VPC 6, but it's still depressing. ACAD (r14) does run somehow faster, but still very ustable.
VPC 7, however, seems to get faster. But how will this perform with a proper version of AutoCAD? Dunno.. (Besides, I guess r14 won't really meet your needs)

Good luck anyway!
