Hey guys,

Picked up my 15" Core i7 2.66 GHz MacBook Pro last week here are the specs.

15" 1440x900 Glossy Display (I opted against the Hi Res because I will have it hooked up to an external monitor a lot of the time)
2.66 GHz i7 CPU
4 GB RAM (Will upgrade to 8)
500 GB 5400 RPM HDD (Will upgrade to Intel X25M 160 GB SSD)
NVIDIA GeForce GT330M 512 GPU

I sold my 2008 2.8 GHz Mac Pro to buy this ( I have one to work on at my job so I picked up a MBP for the portability)

This thing is fast! The Turbo boost is awesome and it's neat to see 4 cores movin in istat :)

Typing feels great, the display looks aaaaaaawesome and overall I couldn't be happier with it. Makes me anxious to see some physical quad core MBPs in the future!

For the pr0n I have a video review explaining turbo boost with close ups and details and some interactive goodness at the end.

I also did some benchmarking!

How do you use the turbo boost. Mine hasn't got here yet, so I'm curious. Wanna post some pics of how to turn that on?

On my stock config it took about 6 seconds, but that really depends on the hard drive rather than the computer, because when I throw my intel SSD in here, iDVD and most apps launch almost instantaneously.

Which models and specs are you debating?

How many bounces on the dock is that?

I will probebly be getting a 7200 rmp drive - that should speed things up
