iPod touch Music transfering help

I have a music collection in the hundreds, of course most of these don't have every little detail filled out so I was wondering if there was a way I could drag and drop all my music directly unto my my touch from my files.

Is there anyway I can do that?

I have a 3g 8gb and jailbreaking is not an option.
