You can have a 'portable' G5 if you'd like, it wouldn't really be that hard. There's only one thing missing. Buy a G5 Tower and a 23 inch Cinema Display. Have someone develop a VESA mount that will attach the display to the tower. Buy one of those APS Battery powered back-up systems. Charge up the cells in the APS system, and you're good to go!!
 
the powerbook G5 gets dual drives, yet the tower doesn't??
this must mean there're new G5's with dual drives coming out on tuesday!! 😛

I'd prefer a car battery with a power inverter, myself. It'd certainly beep less.

That's just not as fun, since you can't take it anywhere or use it on a park bench.

And you thought that the PowerBook G4 turned heads! 😀

Haven't seen that one yet.

I love these, i kept googling powerbook G5, before i gave up on waiting and bought my 2.5 (at store)
