I''ve bought a second-hand Mac Mini (mid 2007 model) to use it as an HTPC. I've configured it mostly to my wishes. But there is one annoying problem. The Mac Mini only has a 1,83 GHz C2D. That's fast enough for 1080P playback in Plex, if the computer is doing nothing else. However, when Sabnzbd+ is downloading something (and parring, rarring or whatever), the Mac mini even struggles with some 720P files.

Is there a way to run Sabnzbd+ in a lower processing power priority setting? Or something like that? I don't really care if Sabnzbd+ takes a bit longer to do its work. I want the media playback in Plex to be smooth.
