This is encouraging news, very encouraging. Dual core G4 PowerBooks next Tuesday!

The MPC8641D device is designed to offer all this performance within a power range that is expected to be 15-25 Watts (typical).

The bad news is won't be usable in a notebook with that energy consumption 🙁
And the desktop are already powered with the ppc970 series..

Actually, the low end of that range would be fine in a 17" if that is max consumption (always rather unclear). And there is still the eMac - that won't be going to G5 in a hurry.
