Please note that this update is for the single processor G5.

Apple states that you must:-

Remove any third part RAM before installing this Firmware Update. After the Firmware Updater has verified that it has been completed correctly, you can re-install your third party RAM.

I removed the third party RAM and found that my computer did not work, so I just tried to do the update with the RAM still in. It worked perfectly fine. I have no idea why the update says that you need to take it out.
