I didn't want to use up a lot of space on windows (XP) so i only did a little bit, but i was wondering if i can add more space to the windows partition with out reinstalling windows?

It is safe, as long as you don't make the Mac partition smaller than the data it has.

I thought you had to open bootcamp to change the size. I suppose it could be done in Disk Utility, never tried.
It lets me modify the osx partition but it says on the win xp partition "this partition can not be modified.
