what is all the fuss about this usb3.0 , if i want to connect a external harddrive i use firewire as its faster then usb2.0 ,on the mini i use firewire and on my zino i got esata which is faster then usb3.0 to connect external harddrive , but both esata and usb 3.0 are not really necessary for watching a film from the harddrive , firewire still does the job perfectly well
the biggest drawback of usb is still how it works
you move a file with your mouse to the external harddrive ... the usb port asks the processor ..."hey i have a file that should go from the internal to the external drive can you manage that for me " answer from the processor "sorry i just have some more important things to do come back tomorrow "
so your usb3.0 might be faster then usb 2.0 but you rarely will get maximum speeds while with firewire you always get max speeds
and esata is just faster then usb 3.0
