Hi,

I have an 800 Mhz iBook G4 with Airport Extreme card, and a Dynalink RTA770W wireless ADSL modem. Info here for those who are interested:

http://www.dynalink.co.nz/products/rta770w.htm

Every time I try and connect to the modem via Airport I get the following airport error message:

The wireless network appears to have been compromised and will be disabled for about a minute

I downloaded the latest Airport software before I got the modem (just last week), so I haven't used anything else. I have friends with the same modem, with the same modem firmware version, using Airport and other Windows computers, with no problem.

I was wondering whether downgrading to an earlier Airport version would work? My friends haven't updated their airport software, and the version the version supplied on the Airport CD that came with the AE card is the version before the downloadable update.

I've read the Apple support pages and some people have reported this problem, with no fix.

Any ideas? The wireless is useless at the moment. I might try downgrading the airport software, then if that fails take the iBook to my friends network - that should narrow it down to the iBook or the modem, right? The modem is brand new, straight out of the box, setup correctly for an ADSL connection (which is running fine if I connect the iBook to the modem via ethernet).

Help!
