iPod Transfering from Ipod to Mac

Hi everyone.
When I went from Ipod to PC, i found the hidden files and then just drug the songs (numbered like F02 etc) from the folder straight into itunes and it worked great.
Can I use the files from my PC and do the same thing to my Mac?
