Only Speedtest results in various situations, minimal commentary. Speedtest X is a free app.

At home (Reston, VA) on Fios 25Mbps using the Verizon 802.11g router:

Test 1 - 2 bars of wifi signal - 9:23 a.m. - 13.27Mbps - test time 6.029 seconds
Test 2 - 3 bars of wifi signal standing next to router - 9:24 a.m. - 13.38Mbps - test time 5.978 seconds

At home on AT&T 3g:

Test 1 - 5 bars of AT&T signal - 9:33 a.m. - 1.42Mbps - test time 56.425 seconds
Test 2 - 5 bars of AT&T signal - 9:34 a.m. - 1.29Mbps - test time 61.88 seconds

At Reston Uno using some random weak wifi:

Test 1- two bars of signal - Tuesday 7:35pm - 762Kbps - test time not recorded
Test 2 - two bars of signal - Wednesday 8:06pm - 782Kbps - test time not recorded

At Reston Uno using 3G:

Test 1 - four bars of signal - Tuesday 8:54pm - 820Kbps - test time 29.966 seconds
Test 2 - five bars of signal - Wednesday 7:59pm - 1.24Mbps - test time 19.363 seconds
