Activating Older Windows Purchases On Mac

HI guys..

I purchased the Orange Box for PC maybe 2 years ago..

Now from what I have read, I thought I would be able to activate the Mac versions of these games on Steam for Mac, free of charge?

I threw in my key last night, and I got the "This has been activated somewhere else" message which is fine, however I thought it would let me also activate on my mac??

Anyone have any experience with such an issue?

Thanks in advance..

Dave

If you have already activated it via Steam, you cannot reactivate it. Make sure you are using the same account as the one you originally activated the product with. Once you have activated a product with a Steam account, it's tied to the account forever.

Steam support can help with lost accounts, etc... YMMV!

Even if you were to get a totally new PC/Mac, all you have to do is log into your Steam account and you have access to every title purchased/activated via Steam.

Thanks for the reply..

I thought that was the case.. However im logging in as the same account and not seeing any games...

I might just wait and see if it refreshes (as it is a new system)

Thanks

I added a copy of Portal under Windows, and it didn't show up under Mac either. I exited Steam and relaunched it and it eventually showed up. Just give it time, it will be sorted.
