Because if I could, that would be awesomeeee. I'm sorry it's a black and white photo, I have a color one but it's a phone pic.

I'd like it matte black.....

Thanks so much if you do this! :) :) :)

Thats the best I could do in 60 seconds..

Haha, thanks! the idea behind the flat black thing was I think this car would look MENACING if it was all black.

Here's a color pic (a crappy one, but still) before it got fixed, if it'll help.

Thanks. It's my job.

1. Car as Background layer
2. Pink passing through car mask in Color blending mode
3. Second pink layer Multiplying at 50% just to deepen the color a bit.

Thumbnail 1 shows the Mask that the pink passes through. Thumbnail 2 shows the final product and the layers that made it.

By the looks of the car it almost looks like a Chryser?

Anyways here is a 1980's Chrysler Fifth Avenue black!

Used to own a 1982 Chrysler Fifth Avune blue and it was awesome! :D

Seems simple enough. I used the magic wand and it kept including the rag-top area. Looks like you must have used-- the polygonal lasso?

The polygonal lasso is definately a tool he could have used, however it's not that precise and if you make a mistake you can't undo... So I assume (at least this is what I use) that citizenzen used the Pen tool to create a path and followed on from there, as it is MUCH more precise and you can undo each click you make. You can also edit anchor points to create curves and go around corners. It's a beautiful tool.

The Pen Tool is a beautiful tool, but as my day-in day-out selection tool, I do use the Polygon Lasso. I find I can work more quickly with it.

You can always go back and fix areas when the mask needs refining.

Less precision, but more speed.

Thanks for your help everyone! I think that this car will indeed look awesome murdered out -- I'm talking matte paint, black vinyl top (or just remove the damn thing), and black rims. xD
