Please tell me how to stop pop-unders.

My perfect mac experience has one blemish in it.

Bloody pop-unders.

I keep getting some advert from some bastards called 'gunggo'

It is driving me crackers, having an unwanted thing appear on my mac makes me feel all itchy ;-)

How do I stop them?

I use safari and have pop-ups turned off, but it doesn't seem to affect pop-unders.

Thanks all, I have just installed ad-blocks.
I'll wait and see if it cures those cursed pop-unders, I did in fact e-mail gunggo concerning my displeasure and inviting them to explain why they considered they had the right to make things appear on my desktop and pointing that I would never patronise a company which used such tactics. They didn't reply. I also e-mailed some casino company to ask them the same question. The casino people did reply, they told me that they couldn't discuss anything with me unless I was a member!

But anyhoo, I hope this sorts things.

Pop Unders by definition are different to Pop Ups and can't be prevented in the same way. I'd just like to point out that the Casino company aren't the ones who implemented this ad type on the site you visit, they pay for ad space and the company they pay delivers this ad space in various ways. The site you find them on obviously signs up to this and uses the pop-under option, it is the individual sites you should be taking issue with not the company/companies advertised in these ads.

I had some sort of issue with AdBlock that I cannot quite recall but turned it off awhile back - will try SafariBlock (which has been discontinued) - will have to try something else.

Erm, from the Glimmerblock page: Because GlimmerBlocker doesn't hack Safari, there is a few things it isn't able to do: adding a block by right-clicking an image, stopping pop-unders, and filtering cookies from 3rd party sites. But you win a lot in stability, and GlimmerBlocker provides much easier methods for adding your own modifications to pages by adding css rules, pieces of Javascript or by transforming the html before Safari receives it. So I'll hope you're happy with the tradeoff.
