Hi guys, I've been running an unlocked ATV with version 2.x for some time and I'd like to know what the procedure is for upgrading to 3.x?
Do I need to revert back to factory standard then create a new patchstick?

First you need to update the firmware on your ATV. Then you need to re-patch as the firmware update always removes any plugins that were installed.
Check my signature for more info.

Thank you, I wasn't sure if it was as easy as that. I'm used to being cautious updating my iPhone that's jailbroken.
I shall update and repatch, many thanks :)

Quick question:

I stopped my ATV from contacting the update server, how do I edit the hosts file to remove the loopback address?

This function is included in the free base version of patchstick
