I have a few network folders and drives mapped and mounted on my MBP. I am a web designer and often need to see the dimensions for images used in my web designs.

I noticed that when I am accessing a folder on the network the image dimensions will not display, instead showing just "--" in place of the info I need. However, the image dimensions will display for any images on my local drives.

Is this just a common thing with images on networked folders in Mac OS X? Is there a setting somewhere within the OS to display these dimensions I am referring to?
