airport card!!!

As far as I know, Airport cards are universal. You don't need a special "eMac compatible" card.

While plastree is right, Airport cards are universal, you need to be sure that you do NOT get an Airport Extreme card. When apple upgraded to the Extreme models, they physically changed the connector on the card. So any Airport card will work in your eMac so long as it is not one of the newer Extreme cards.

I believe what you are asking for is the original airport card(802.11b) and not the new airport express card.

Wow, that's news to me. Supremely lame, indeed. I was planning on installing an Airport card in my old iBook 600. I guess that's not gonna happen.

Your best bet, go to a local store that services Macs and ask them to order you an Airport card as a service part. Beats paying the crazy prices being asked these days.
