iPhone 3G Restore stuck at the end

Im trying to restore my iPhone 3G. The progress bar in iTunes says "Restoring iPhone Software" and is stuck around 99% where as the screen on the iPhone is around 60% complete. I tried downloading a new firmware file (3.1.2) and using that but no dice. Anyone know how to fix this?

Had the same problem

I was trying to restore my iPhone 3G S on my laptop (MacBook) but the progress bar on iTunes will be at 99% done and my progress bar on my iPhone screen was around at 60% and it was stuck there forever. But it finally restored after trying it on another computer (on my iMac). I suggest trying it on another computer

yup im having the same problem too, and i tryed DFU mode that didint work, O well iphone 4 here i come.........
