Or, an easy question rather. I was just wondering if the iBooks have capability to hook up to an external monitor, even with some sort of adapter? My friend wants to get one and I didn't know the answer to her question. Thanks.

Yes, but it is mirroring only by default. There is a hack to allow spanning if you wnat to try that.

Yes, it comes with an adapter to VGA.

Edit: Damn, too late- I had window open and was reading other posts...

iBooks have the ability to mirror their screens to an external monitor but a hack does exist to allow screen spanning.

I think if you want to use the old Apple cinema displays you have to buy a special ADC adapter, which is very expensive. Otherwise the optional VGA display adapter should sort you out. :)
