Everybody is saying
At&t says 65% of users use under 200mb a month and 98% under 2gb

But if you look at the fine print, they say on average they use under 200mb a month

So lets look at this closer
-----MB Old$ new$
month 1 212 30 30
month 2 080 30 15
month 3 225 30 30
month 4 215 30 30
month 5 080 30 15
month 6 225 30 30
average 172 30 25

Same can be done with the 2gb plan

Okay... now i do actually like the new plans... sorta, i like the options, but i just think people are skimming over the fact the this is an average statistic, your not paying what your average usage is, you are paying your monthly usage.

The actual smoke and mirrors trick they used was the word "smartphone" when they said 98% use less than 2GB. In whatever previous statement he made he said IPHONE. Now.. we all know the iPhone is a data hog so I believe that if throw in every other smartphone they sell it makes their case look a little better. Anybody else pick up on that?

This is merely AT&T trying to stop netflix/elgato/skype/free txt apps/hulu and whoever else wants to use ATTs network to deliver content without giving ATT any of the revenue. The majority of users probably don't use that much data , and AT&T makes sure it's 'gunna' stay that way no matter what whiz-bang revolutionary apps come out.

The 2 iPhones my family has don't even come to 1GB a month combined. My wife hasn't gone over 145MB/month and my daughter hasn't gone over 500MB/month in the past 6 months.

By adjusting my plans, we will save enough so I can get one and only have our monthly bill go up by $5/month. I'm liking these new plans.

Well the new plans are for all their smartphones not just the iPhone.
