Hello,

I haven't read every Safari 5 problem thread yet, and MRoogle hasn't brought up anything, so I post this thread instead.

Ever since updating to Safari 5 (33h and 19m ago on an Aluminium 20" iMac with 2.0GHz and Mac OS X 10.6.3), SHIFT+TAB closes application windows for me, instead of going in reverse (like with buttons and text fields in Safari).

I've checked System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts and couldn't find anything.

Has anyone else encountered this behaviour?

it seems, to only close windows instead of quitting applications

No, when using the Shift-Tab key combination, it highlights the text boxes and other things on the webpage.

Try reinstalling Safari or removing the com.apple.Safari.plist file from ~/Library/Preferences.

I deleted the .plist file, but the problem still persists. I re-install Safari tomorrow though, as a restart is not really possible right now, due to some calculation process running around my Mac.
