why can't i seem to find a SIMPLE, FREE, hotkey program?

a program where i can set hotkey combinations to launch applications and folders....

alaiskeys doens't quite cut it, half the time it just searches for the program instead of launching it, and it doesn't deal with conflicting hotkey combonations.

any advice good mac people?

you can try iKey. I'm using it now to switch to applications by setting my own hotkeys for them.

I use FruitMenu. It does a little more than just hot-keys - it's an Apple Menu / Contextual Menu editor as well and is really useful.

Not sure how free it is...
