It was a 5.9

5 mi. SE of Ocotillo, CA

Apparently, it wasn't strong enough to take down the Apple Store...

I'm outside of Irvine, it as a short but sweet shake. Things that were loose shook well, but yeah, nothing like the Mother's Day shake.

Having grown up in So. Cal, if a bridge or building hasn't collapsed and the earth hasn't swallowed anyone, it's just another day in CA.

I was not going to buy a new iphone, but this earthquake made my 3G drop off the tabletop outside while i was grilling and now it has a spiderweb crack on the screen.

This sucks - or is is just fate?

This is very true. I couldn't resist...had to get in on the 'pre-order frenzy' here
