Hi,

iOS 4 allows multitasking, but can I check periodically in the background (say on a timer) to update something like an RSS feed?

This is more an educational question, than something I'm doing.

Kind Regards

It sort of allows the appearance of multitasking and true multitasking for specific cases (streaming music and VOIP for example). What you are describing is not supported (although your app could "lie" and tell the OS it's a VOIP app when it is suspended).
