all my apps have duplicates in itunes

Somehow all of my apps are listed twice in itunes. If I uncheck ONE, the app gets removed from my iPhone. So I unchecked BOTH and then checked just one of the ones I want on the phone to put it back. Didn't help anything.
Anyone experience this?
