iPhone 4 Surfaces in Czech Republic With Back Camera Photo and Video Samples

Czech site Jablíčkář.cz reveals [Google translation] yet another iPhone 4, backed up by multiple pictures of the device laying on top of a newspaper of this past weekend.

While other leaks and of course Apple's own presentation and marketing materials have shown us the next-generation iPhone in a fair amount of detail, this new report claims to offer a sample of photos and a brief video clip [Direct link to video] taken with the device, demonstrating real-world performance to compare against sample photos and video posted by Apple.

The report notes that an hour's worth of "playing games, surfing, YouTube and Google Maps" resulted in a battery drain of only 10%, bolstering Apple's claims of significantly improved battery performance compared to earlier iPhone models.

Images look very washed out compared to the Apple site examples. No surprise there!

Good to know battery life is as great as apple claimed :)

Cant wait anymore. Hope iPhone 4 gets unlocked as soon as its out. Dont want to wait for the its release in my country. Last time it took them 8+ months to launch 3GS here :eek:
 
I think the photos look pretty good myself, and they do look better than the evo from what I've seen. I had a chance to play with an evo last week, and was somewhat disappointed with the camera. I'm just stoked about the battery life!!! 1 hours worth of all that stuff on my 3gs would have drained the battery at least 20%, if not more!! Very impressed. That for me is just as big of a selling point as the high res screen and camera etc.

According to this clip..

One minute of recorded HD video should result in a file size of 80 MB.

One hour of recorded HD video should result in a file size of 4800 MB.
 
Pictures are great, but again these are under optimal conditions. I know its still a phone, and as such will suffer in low light, but I would love to see some samples in those conditions. Even still, these outdoor shots look great.

The video is a little on the soft side, but the exposure and colors are fantastic. With this phone there really is no need for a flip camera or something similar. I'm excited.

No they don't. Stop being a fanboy. The EVO in perfect light takes amazingly good pictures. The EVO sucks in low light. We still don't know how the iPhone 4 fares in low light, but considering Apple hasnt bothered to take any and show them off, it can be assumed that it too sucks.

Saying these pictures are better than the Evo's doesn't make him a Fanboy. If these were utterly horrible and the Evo's were fantastic and he still thought the iPhone's pictures were better, THAT would make him a fanboy.

"Much better". And what makes him a fanboy is he said it obviously without looking at any. I've seen a ton in my search for my next phone and they are tremendously good under proper lighting. And tremendously bad under low light.

Hmmmm, I stated the EVO takes great pictures in ideal light and awful pictures in bad lighting. Yeah, I can see where that would be misconstrued as being an EVO fanboy. You're a bright one.

And as for that video. Ouch. Great colors, but awful, jittery panning, just like in the official Apple video. Won't be replacing my cheap Flip HD.

What is it with the field though? I hope that is not the place where they ambushed the Apple engineer :p

If you want an unlocked iPhone buy it from the UK. You can buy it sim free out of the box from Apple themselves.

BUT it is at a high cost £499 for the 16gb and £599 for the 32gb. Convert those into whatever currency your country uses. :)
