How do I tell if I can connect to wireless n router?

Hi,

I've had my Powermac G3 for quite some time now. I'm purchasing a Netgear Rangemax wireless N router. How do I tell if I have 802.11 capabilities. I couldn't find it in my network utility folder. I had the wireless cards installed when I first purchased the computer. Do I even need the base station to connect to a wireless router? I'm trying not to invest too much into this computer as I'll be purchasing a new macbook pro at the end of the year, but need to get by for now. I also only have OS X 10.4.11.

Wireless n came about a year ago, so no, your PowerMac cannot have it. Most routers can do other than n though, for example b (1999) and g (2003). Check from its specs what WiFis does it support (or link it)
