Yes I got mine too. Should lay to rest the constant confusion about whether or not there will be two lines at the store, one for reserve iPhones and one for walk ins, just as for other apple launches. For the record: there will be two lines! And your reservation will be held until close of business! Just as we all have been saying!!!!: So relax, people!

Also is nice to see they haven't mislaid your reservation and confirming that they may have made a mistake about your phone price.

Well, shoot, I am the kind that worries about everything.

I got my confirmation email when I reserved, I even went in and asked my Apple store to make sure they had my reservation and they said yes.

Now you people are saying this and I haven't gotten that and now I worry that some glitch happened.

(yes, I'm the paranoid type).

Awesome. I was worried about the $699 price I was wrongfully quoted for the 32Gb and was going to head to the store to figure it out. Looks like all will be ok now!

I'm sure you're good. Bring in the confirmation email and they gotta hook you up. I just got one reminder and am still expecting a second (for my wife's phone) - even if it never shows, we have 2 original confirmation emails so I'm not worried about it.... but I do want things to go smoothly.

Well, it still says on my apple store application on my iphone I have the reservation.

I'm just a paranoid person (part of me keeps telling myeslf not to check cause it might bring on more chance of a glitch but I love looking at it to make sure it's there).

I wonder how this will affect people like us (got cancelled or cancelled accidentally)who were reassured by the store employee that the confirmation email would entitle us to receive the phone on Thursday. Will they still honour the original email? I fear I will be redirected to a queue for walk-in customers by the security personnel Apple deploys :(

"Your reservation will be held until close of business on June 24."

It's worth noting this part of the email. There have been conflicting reports as to whether a reservation means that a phone will be there for you regardless of when you come in on the 24th.

A couple things to note:
  • It says your "reservation" will be held, not your "phone". I'm not sure if this is suggesting that hardware will not necessarily be held, just worth noting.
  • The bottom of the email still says "Pre-authorization does not guarantee iPhone availability at an Apple Retail Store. iPhone is sold on a first-come, first-served basis." I think "Pre-authorization" is not the same as a reservation. If you remember, the original iPhone had so many problems with activation at launch that when the 3G came out, Apple and AT&T allowed for "pre-authorization" which would streamline the process. It seems more likely that this is what they are referring to.

So, I still have no idea whether this means phones will be held for those with reservations or not. When I called my local Apple Store, they seemed to suggest that an actual phone will be held until the end of the business day for those with reservations.

I'm not going to trust that though. I plan on getting to the store before they open, and will get in the reservation line. I can't afford to not get on Thursday as I have to get my 3GS back to Gazelle within the 30 day lock-in period, or I'm out at least $82. I had a pre-order that was cancelled by Apple... bastards.

Edit: Removed email image as someone already posted it.
