Just unboxed my new phone and synchronized with iTunes and decided to play a movie to see the new "RETINA DISPLAY" in action... There is a damn yellow line at the bottom of the screen about a 1/4 inch above the home button! Man am I pissed!!!! Even when I flip it around it stays at the bottom!

Did you try restarting the phone? Maybe leave it off for a bit, then boot it back up again. You can also try to get a white picture or background of some sort and temporarily leave it on for a few minutes. This usually helps relive burn marks on plasma tv's where static images get burned in. Not entirely sure if it'll have any effect on the retina display but you can try it.

Other folks seem to be having the same issue. I'd maybe run a white demo screen on it for a while and see if it subsides.

Another shot! As soon as I get off the phone with Apple I'll take some better shots.

Sorry to hear about the problem.

But look at the upside.

Play with your faulty phone for a while not caring too much about scratches and screen protection. When all good cases and other protections are out in the market, then replace your phone.

I have a similar issue, with a faint yellow line and a very noticeable yellowish blob in the top left corner of the screen. Disappointed, will need to get it fixed or replaced. :(

exactly.. its not a 27" iMac that is hard to exchange. I was scared that my 27" is faulty with all the hassle to exchange it.

That is worse than the phones with the yellow spots. This is the first I have seen of a phone with a solid line through the screen. Definitely agree that you should get a replacement. Though at this point getting a replacement could take a while.

Wow, that totally sucks! Problem is, they probably don't have any extras in stock to replace it. Would probably have to wait til July 14th to get the replacement, no?
