iphone song list greyed out

heey,
recently my computer died and we had to reformat it and since then my iphone 3gs does not pick up that thats its home computer so when i go onto my phones song list its greyed out. i can still add songs using autofill but cannot edit or play them.
is it possible to un grey the songs without wiping the ipod clean as i lost alot of songs when the computer died which were not off itunes. 😕
