iPhone 2G won't reconnect to wifi after sleep

Hi,
I just got a new router. I configured its WiFi options with both WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc, with hidden BSSID.
The problem is: I can connect to the wifi when I configure it, but then when my iPhone goes to sleep (black screen) and I come back to the springboard, the phone won't connect again to the wifi, I have to configure it again manually.
Can anyone help me trying anything that might solve the problem?
The iPhone is a 2G with 3.1.3 firmware. The router is Xavi 7968.
