radiation from holding band causing finger tingling?
Hey all,
Anyone one else experience this? Using the phone for like 20mins. My thumb and fingers touching the metal band. My finger are felling some what tingling. I can kinda feel the phone broadcasting. The phone is great for everything else. But is this a concern? Direct contact with the antenna which is broadcasting EM energy at high frequencies. Conducted straight into the fingers. It might not be a lot of energy but your DNA/cell components are not very big and I bet compared to energy vs size the power is pretty decent. Before people say other phones are like this. You don't directly touch the metal antenna. Old cell phones were covered in plastic. And EM energy dissipates exponentially with distance. |

I have been thinkng about this too, and definately have had lots of tingling while holding it...
I am not a crazy nut job, and didn't want to mention it until i saw this post... I do however suspect it's due to bad ergonomics, it's not as comfortable as the 3GS and does cut off circulation in some fingers due to the harsh edges... I'm hoping it's that anyway! |

The tingling you feel is the iPhone4's positive energy trying desperately to replace all of the negative energy that you've acquired from reading too many rabid Internet message board posts.

I think people who deny the facts need tinfoil hats, so what are the facts?
1. the phone broadcasts energy waves (100% true) 2. the antena is metal and in contact with your skin (100% true) 3. the human body conducts (100% true) so why are they crazy for thinking that the amount of radiation can have a negative effect? sounds like your the ones not making any sense. Infact there is an antena thread that talks about the SAR radiation tests for the FCC being done without hand contact on the phone, well I dont know about you but how do you hold a phone without using your hand? |

OP, your solution is to wear tin foil gloves or remove your tin foil hat.
This thread deserves a bunny. |

well I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.
looks like the apple discussion boards have a thread on this too. The phone is great much better than my 3g. But still the direct contact with the antenna is a little concerning... especially when I can feel it! If you imagine the phone as a light bulb ( both emit EM radiation ) just at different frequencies. Putting your hand near it vs touching it is very different... |

If your fingers start to glow, you probably should stop using the phone and go see a doctor.
Oh, and please post pics...of your fingers. |
