How to use golfshot GPS?

Can someone explain how to use this app? I know you can enter all your info after a round, or you can enter each shot individually.

For example:

Let's say I hit a slice to the right missing the fairway off the tee. I would enter (1) for my first shot, and I would choose the right arrow, and select what club I used.

My second shot I hot back on the fairway. I select (2) for my 2nd shot, and select my club, and "hit the fairway"

Third shot I hit straight with an iron onto the green. So, I select (3) but there is no option for greens, you have to select (long, fairway, left, or right)

Fourth shot I hit a nice putt, so I select (4) but there is no putter as an option for the clubs.

How do you guys do it?
