Sort of amusing that Macrumors are advising potential buyers of PM G5's "only if you need it" and no-one can get hold of any Dual 2.5's

What the chances that Apple and IBM are pushing resources towards making sure the next high end G5 won't have the same problem?

That is always the goal with and upgrade. The Power Mac G5 Rev. B fixed the electrical and noise problems. Now with the 2.5 they will have to fix some of the heating issues. Updates seem to be on a 9 - 12 month schedule. A lot of our members still don't have their 2.5 yet.

.....You mean there are people that ordered the dual 2.5 back when they were introduced in June and STILL haven't got one yet?

I think it will get easier to meet demand as time goes on. Especially when the PB goes G5. The more models that are based on the G5, the better, since chip production will need to be ramped up. Game platforms using the G5 chip will help with production, as well.

148 days since launch and its easier to find Lord Lucan than a Dual 2.5.

Wonder if Apple UK will actually have any for the London launch?
