Does AdBlock extension slow Safari down?

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that AdBlock does affect the loading (opening) speed of a website slightly?

Have they updated it to fix the crashing issue? I stopped using it because it would crash ALL THE TIME. So I guess you could say it loaded slower...since it never loaded.

It never crashed for me in the first place... but I guess they've updated it by now? It's at v2.0.9 now.

Ideally it should make load times faster since the browser has to load less content.

Btw, one quick question: if AdBlock prevents certain vid (or whatever thing you'd actually like to see) from loading, how can you actually whitelist that item so that it will display it?

Short answer: HELL YEAH.


With Adblock not only does it make is WORLDS slower, but it also drains your RAM to heck.

...and I ordered 16GB of RAM because of this...
