I like this idea a whole lot better, although a slider phone which is a flash iPod when closed and slides open to convert to a phone (thereby pausing the music until closed again) is a little cooler. Love to see a mock-up of that. Any takers for a little PS action?

C'mon Apple and Moto, make my day.

They think that because one gets an iPod, one will get every kind of electronic gadget around...

I admit it, I like electronic gadgets but I'm not that zealot... Every new company is targeting *cool* people, every new mp3 player is an iPod killer...

Yes, at 16 or 32 MB, it's 5 or 8 songs in your pocket, not even a whole CD unless encoded very low bitrate. Hardly a replacement for an iPod. Now the whole '24' mobovision whatever seems like it will be as successful as other portable video devices. Do these people honestly not understand that video on the go ISN'T the as music on the go?!?

They presume that anyone that has or wants an iPod also has a cell phone, and then determine that many of them would prefer to carry around a single device. I'm sure there are folks who would love to have a cell phone/1GB MP3 player to take to the gym or for a jog or ride.

But what about battery life?

But what would happen to battery life on a phone/music player? I think that is a big question... Cause you know they are going to have to have more features than just a phone music player...Add the camera, the flash memory, or a mini hard drive to hold the music and pictures from the 3.2mp camera.

I know how often my gadgets are plugged in here at home or the office.

I could only imagine.....

"Speaking at the event, Chief Marketing Officer Peter Bamford said Vodafone will primarily target people under 35, a group he characterized as the "young, active, fun" market. "

What is he implying?
