Developing a new App of iPhone and iPad

Hello All,

It is my first threat and post o MacRumors Forums, I would like you all to please guide me to the process.

I wan to develop an App for iPhone and iPod, I have registered to Apple.com as developer and currently have some ideas about the Apps, I need your Help about:

Should I make my first App as Free or I should make a commercial App?

I am a Designer, I have currently designed the App but I am not a programmer, Is it worthy to hire a programmer for making the App?

Please also guide that What files the programmer will give me after completing the project? Is there some source file I should ask after completion?

Thanks Allot, Looking forward to your replies.

I think free apps are a great way to break in to the market. Start simple and test it well.

If you feel the need to hire a developer then a free app is not really a good idea (you are going to pay to give something away for free?).

I suggest taking the simple design and follow some of the many tutorials online and have a go at it.

best way to learn is to do....

Thanks for the reply,

Yes it is the main problem I am facing as I will have to pay to the programmer, I should need to make some money. Right? (May be much little than all others)

GameSalad comes to mind
It's basically a Game Creator engine that requires 0 lines of code.
