HELP!!! System preferences

Ok somehow my system preferences got deleted. I go to open my system preferences and it says it is incomplete or damaged. How do i restore this?

Reinstall OS X, it won't erase any data

... but having a Time Machine backup is always better 😀

Your Mac came with two grey install discs. The #1 is the OS X install disk, boot from it and simply reinstall OS X

Or copy it from a friends Mac. Just make sure that you have the same version of OS X installed.

Ok i got my system preferences back, but it didnt bring back my iphoto and my photo booth. How do i get those?
