is there a way to schedule a text message
i was going to put in app section, but there are no quality apps that i found for doing this.
does anyone know how to send a sms message at a scheduled time? ie a happy birthday at 12am to someone? i tried textlater - and when the person recieves the text it comes from a 000-0001 number, kinda defeats the purpose. |

You can have your iPhone text yourself with the Calendar app, and then forward the text when it does so

Yes, there an app called "textlater" that allows you to schedule text messages. I use it all the time and usually just to send myself reminders.

I'm sure it's possible for a developer to create such an app that uses your actual phone number via the SMS app. I'd imagine you would have to be jailbroken though...

Coincidentally, there is an article "How to Turn Your Android Phone into a Fully-Automated Superphone" on Gizmodo today that describes an application which does just that and a lot more. Check it out for some interesting ideas.

(/) means close
so your saying close end what you should say in a case like you were trying to make would be /thread

Bit of an old thread that was bumped, but just use google calendar to do it. You can set texts as notifications for any event.

I wanted to chime in that Gliph recently added scheduled message sending, but it is only to other Gliph users. So you can't use it to schedule SMS yet.
http://blog.gli.ph/2012/11/06/gliph-...ivery-options/ I'd love to hear feedback from some of the people who want to see a better SMS scheduler. Has anyone seen a scheduling interface they really like? Are 'happy birthday' reminders the #1 thing that people want SMS scheduling for? rob |
