is there a "mark all messages as read" anywhere in the ipad's mail application?

Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a quick search through the forum and didn't find anything. Just curious to see if there is a way to mark all new emails as read in the ipad's mail client. I can on my macbook and I'm new to iOS and still trying to learn some of the basics.

Nope. It's another one of those basic features that Apple appears to have forgotten about. Quite an irritating one at that. With each successive iOS version I've hoped for an option, but no.
