This thread is to narrow down apps that work on the iPhone 4 when you jailbreak it
How to Jailbreak your iPhone 4

Winterboard
OpenSSH
SBSettings
VEENCY [Control any iDevice from computer]
iFile
Five Icon Dock

Will update, and with video

Additional Help
MyWi 4.0
QuickReply
Lockinfo

For now...
Five Button Dock
3G Unrestrictor also works. I installed it and I am now downloading a 30 minute TV episode from iTunes.
MakeItMine works
Firewall IP works on 4.0, as does iRealSMS 3, Installous, 3g Unrestrictor, AppBackup, the newest Terminal, and SBsettings themes.

Jailbroken iPhone 4 - What works and what doesn't LIST!

Hi all, thought I'd start a thread on what works now that the iPhone 4 is jailbroken. I've just finished work and it's 03:34am here in the UK, so thought I'd have a quick play.

Just so everyone is aware, I'm on 4.01 official release, 16GB UK model.

Jailbreak took seconds and was smooth.

So far I've installed.

SBSettings
Five Icon Dock
Winterboard
Buuf2 theme (was my favourite on the iPhone 3G)

I see some people say SBSettings screws with your network coverage, which it does initially. Simply reboot after install and it's fine.

So, here's what we have so far....

As you can see, we have 5 icons in the dock, Buuf2 and Cydia.

Buuf2 looks a bit crappy with it's lower res PNG's, but I'm hoping for a Buuf4.0 :)

So, CONFIRMED working is:

SBSettings
Winterboard
Five Icon Dock

Please post more as you use so we can build up a list of what works...

PS. I have trash reception in this part of my house, 5 bars on the other! :)

Ah! I had the same plan, didn't see this thread a second ago!

I've added a screenshot as well in my thread..

So add Five Button Dock to the list

eww why would you want to use icons that haven't even been updated for the retina display? They look horrible

Was just an example of what works, what doesn't. It won't be used until they (I) update the theme.

Simply a case of showing that it works on the iPhone 4, so merely a demo.

Haha was thinking the same thing when I saw that mess of a screenshot

Explained above...

it also shows how much nicer the retina display is rather than side by side screenshots, you can see it all in one ;)

I installed Winterboard, and I've been playing around with updating some of the icons into 114x114 for them to be High Res, but they don't show up properly on the Spring Board.

Do I need to do something special? Or does Winterboard need to be updated?

Winterboard needs to be updated mate.

Doubt it's configured to support high res icons yet. Hopefully it will come soon ;)

Ah, I thought so. It's my first time ever having a jailbroken iPhone, so I wouldn't know. Thanks. :D
