So I'm going to buy an additional hard drive for my new G5. Anyone have any experience with drives that are great or some that are horrible? Right now I'm looking at the Seagate and the Samsung (on sale a newegg for $89). Any help would be appreciated.

Zeke, I really REALLY recommend....

the WD Raptor 74GB (10K rpm) ... this is what I installed in my G5 along with the stock 160GB...(Raptor boot drive, 160GB data) the performance increase is incredible, there is NO noise increase and the warranty cannot be beat either... I think newegg has this with a rebate for $150. If you read www.macgurus.com or www.storagereview.com they cannot say enough good things about that HD.

if you want pure space, the the IBM 400 GB SATA is tremendous drive as well (but I would not trade my WD for it...)
