If JB & Unlocked iPhone 4 is restored, will it still be unlocked?
I'd like to unlock my iPhone 4, but don't need or want it to remain jailbroken (for security & warranty reasons). If I restore a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone to a pre-JB backup, will it still be unlocked?
If not, is there any way to permanently unlock an iPhone? |

If you restore after applying the ultrasn0w unlock, you will lose the unlock.
If you get it officially unlocked through your carrier, it will always be unlocked, even after a restore. If you're in the US on AT&T, you're SOL, as they won't unlock any iPhone. |

Yes, if you restore a jailbroken + unlocked phone you will loose your jailbreak and unlock.
No. If the phone came locked to a carrier from Apple, there is no way to perma unlock the phone. |

You need the jb first for the unlock.
If you restore to stock firmware both unlock and jb will be gone. It's not permanent. |
